A Sponsorship Gold for Team Upfront!

Upfront has been appointed by Pentathlon GB to help secure post Olympics sponsorship -  A first for the sport!


The Modern Pentathlon, consisting of five separate sports: Horse riding, fencing, swimming (200m freestyle) , shooting and running (3km) celebrated a 100 years as part of the Olympics at the London 2012 Games this year, and Team GB’s Samantha Murray won a silver medal in the final event, securing Pentathlon GB as the current World Champions.


Sponsorship will include opportunities to work with the Athletes directly, brand the annual National Championships, incorporate branding and logos on team apparel, association with Junior & Grassroots programmes and generate plenty of exclusive content.


Jon Austin, CEO of Modern Pentathlon, said: “We have received amazing support from the National Lottery and Sport UK to date which has changed the landscape of our sport in the UK. We want to build on the momentum from London 2012 to attract corporate sponsorship as we drive towards Rio 2016 and are delighted to be doing so with Upfront’s matchless expertise and support.”


Upfront Director Matt Jagger, added: “Following the success of London 2012 there is a clear path for sponsors to get involved with the Olympic legacy and to align their brands with GB Olympic success through growing sports such as the Modern Pentathlon.”

Matt Jagger Joins Chase & Status Panel at IMS 2012

Whilst most of us were stuck back at camp enduring a somewhat pitiful British summer, Upfront Director and music industry veteran Matt Jagger escaped the grey skies and set off for Ibiza to host and discuss the story of Chase and Status at IMS 2012.

Upfront Bags V Fest 2012 Merchandising Rights

The team had a jolly old time at V Festival last month, the lucky ones frazzling in the sun at Chelmsford, and the not quite so lucky were stuck in the mud at Staffordshire. But with top acts such as The Stone Roses, The Killers, Tinie Tempah and Tom Jones performing, neither camp were complaining!

We were working as hard as we played however – With Upfront being in charge of the festivals official merchandising strategy and sales this year, from t-shirts to baby grows, as well as the complete production and distribution of the official festival programme.
